Making Progress! Children's Room Renovation Update
We're excited to share some big news about the construction of our new Children's Room! We've reached a major milestone: the excavation is complete and we're officially ready to start pouring the foundation.
If you've been by the library recently, you'll notice a significant change. The large hole in front of the building has been filled in, and the area is ready for the next phase of construction. You'll also see that we've installed a temporary ramp, providing easy access to the library while this work is underway.
The library and the Children's Department remain open during our regular hours throughout the entire construction process. We know how important it is for our youngest patrons to have access to books and programs, and we're committed to making that as seamless as possible. On Sundays when the Cranford Community Center is closed, you can simply enter through the library's main entrance and use the connecting door to reach the Children's Department in its temporary home.
This project wouldn't be possible without the incredible support we've received. We want to extend a huge thank you to the Cranford Public Library Foundation and all of our generous donors. Your contributions are helping us create a better, more welcoming space for our youngest readers and families.
We'll continue to keep you updated on our progress as we transform the library for our youngest patrons. Stay tuned for more exciting news!
