Summer Reading Challenge at the Cranford Public Library

Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge is a recreational literacy program for community members of all ages. The library has options for children, teens, and adults. This free program is available to the community thanks to support from the Friends of the Library. Anyone with a valid Cranford Public Library card is welcome to participate.

This year’s program runs from June 16 through August 18.

Children’s Summer Reading Challenge

Children track the amount of time that they spend reading. Visit https://cranfordlibrary.beanstack.com/ or download the Beanstack Tracker app to record reading online. Everyone who participates should record the amount of time they spend reading each day.

Our goal is to encourage the practice of reading, there are no reading requirements or required titles. Picture books, magazines, audiobooks, chapter books: all reading counts!

Guardians who would prefer to have a paper log that their child can record their reading in may download it here, please be sure that a responsible adult enters their time into Beanstack by Monday, August 18.

At the end of the summer, we celebrate the work of our readers with a Summer Reading party! This year’s party will be held on Thursday, August 21 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
