We're thrilled to share the latest updates on the construction of Cranford Public Library's new and improved Children's Room. The transformation is well underway, and we can't wait for you to see the result!
What's New
The expansion is taking shape beautifully, and the new Children's Room will be twice the size of the original space. Bright, expansive windows will be installed to flood the room with natural light, creating a warm and inviting environment where young readers can explore, learn, and grow.
Construction Milestones
Here's where we stand:
Exterior walls are almost complete – The structure is really coming together!
Bathrooms are nearly finished – These new facilities will better serve our youngest patrons and their families with full-sized fixtures and air dryers
Bricks arriving by month's end – The exterior will soon take on its finished appearance
New connector door installed – Seamless access between the Children's Room and the main library is now in place, but locked during construction
LED lighting brightens the lobby and Raddin Room – New energy-efficient fixtures are already enhancing the space
