Summer Reading Challenge

This year’s Summer Reading theme is “Color our World” and it’s all about art!

The Summer Reading Challenge is a recreational literacy program for community members of all ages. The library has options for children, teens, and adults. This free program is available to the community thanks to support from the Friends of the Library. Anyone with a valid Cranford Public Library card is welcome to participate.

Children track the amount of time that they spend reading. Visit https://cranfordlibrary.beanstack.com/ or download the Beanstack Tracker app to log your time. Everyone who participates should record the amount of time they spend reading each day. We want to encourage the practice of reading, there are no reading requirements or required titles. Read what you like!

Anyone who would prefer to have a paper log that their child can record their reading time in may download it here, please be sure that a responsible adults enters their time into Beanstack by Monday, August 18.

At the end of the summer, we celebrate readers with a Summer Reading party! This year’s party will be held on Thursday, August 21 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
