The Art of Photograms

  • Cranford Community Center, Arts & Crafts Room 220 Walnut Avenue Cranford, NJ, 07016 United States (map)

Photograms are cameraless photographic artworks created with light and shadow in the darkroom. Often, they are the first project a student will create in an analog photography class to learn about photo materiality and how to use a darkroom.

This playful and immersive workshop is for beginners and professionals alike - no prior knowledge needed. Heather will walk you through the art of making photograms and challenge you to expand the possibilities of the medium.

Anyone interested in attending this workshop should fill out our online application by Monday, April 6. This workshop is part of an ongoing series; if demand allows, applicants may be able to attend more than one workshop.

Made possible by funds from the Union County Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

This program is a partnership between the Cranford Public Library and the Cranford Community Center. Additional funds provided by the Friends of the Library.
